Hi,
I’ve recently downloaded the new app you created and it’s way better than Owntracks, overland etc it’s so much more accurate, Does the app upload points at certain times or do you have to stop tracking and manually upload points?

For now there is only manual upload of points, but automatic uploads are definitely planned for the future. And this feature has quite high priority.

Hey all,
Automatic points upload is currently in beta testing. I plan to release it to everyone in a couple of days.

There is no repo or board for upcoming features of the app yet, only issue tracker here. Feel free to post your suggestions for the app there. No hard commitments or deadlines though 😅

As for battery usage, I've seen reports that there are no significant differences compared to Overland.

@Dinth could you please tell more about your use case? MDM is used in big companies to manage corporate devices, how is it relevant to Dawarich?

answering my question, while generally speaking MDMs allow pushing a plist with a config for mobile apps deployed, because Dawarich requires credentials it wouldnt be feasible to do that with Dawarich.
And regarding MDMs in general, many ppl are using them to manage their own personal or family devices, just like with Ansible.

@bytegetter the issue was about running DB queries on the main thread, which is for unexplainable reasons the default way for SwiftData. After blocking the main thread for a couple of seconds the system terminates the app.
Now I've moved all requests to the database to background threads.

Updated last night and I can confirm that app is recording again as it completely stopped for a while for some reason. I never had the app crash issue.
