The plugin is abandoned, so I made a fork called Gitmoji Next.
It's available in package manager gitmoji-next (by grandsilence).

Fork changes:

• Fixed gitmoji.json updates (file benn moved in gitmoji repository)
• Original Segoe UI Emoji font icons used.
  New Icon sizes: 288x288.

I'm really sorry for not being reply to your pull request before, I'm not using Keypirinha anymore since I'm not using Windows. Thanks for taking the interest and creating a fork.

I'll not be able to send updates to this repository since I dont have my Windows vm installed right now, so I'll keep the PR and issue open until I can.
