The Funkin' GitHub Monthly Roundup - March 2025
Hey Funkin’ coders, bug hunters, and Pico Mix enjoyers,
Welcome back to the Monthly Roundup, where we summarize this month’s events in the repository!
Pit Stop 2
So how’d you like the update?
March 31st has been this repo’s busiest day of the year with tons of bug reports and two hotfixes in a row! (We’re already at 0.6.2)
Keep those reports coming, and expect the source code to be released soon :)
Progress Report
Here’s what we’ve achieved this month:
status: resolved
Awesome month for documentation and organization! Internally, we’ve developed a pretty good system for tracking and reviewing all those issues and PRs.
Speaking of which, how are we doing with issues and PRs right after the update?
Statistics
Let’s find out with this month’s nifty activity charts!
Not bad! Looks like we have a lot of new PRs this time around…
Here’s how that compares to the past two months of activity:
There’s definitely been an uptick in issues and PRs this month! We’re expecting a whole lot more once the source code for Pit Stop 2 releases. Brace yourselves!
Here’s how many open issues and PRs we have at the end of March, compared to January and February:
Wow, everything’s on the rise! Someone must’ve opened a ton of PRs to bring about such a huge increase…
…well that explains it. Out of our 198 currently open PRs, @Lasercar opened an incredible 62 of them! We can’t wait to get your nearly 200 fixes and features into the game :)
Here’s how our mountain of issues is doing after all of our relabeling:
Good news! Our backlog of unreviewed issues has gone from 237 issues last month down to 209 issues this month.
Also great: We now have 150 issues waiting to be fixed by an open PR, up from 107 last month!
Additionally, we have 27 issues marked as planned, bound to show up in a future update!
Finally, here’s a neat little summary of this month’s activity in a .txt file, courtesy of AbnormalPoof!

Pull Requests
Fun Fact
We will never merge another PR from funkin.assets ever again!
Feel free to open more PRs there though. We won’t stop you.
What’s this all about?
Closing
Thanks for reading this totally truthful, not at all misleading issue of the Monthly Roundup!
I’m gonna go listen to those new songs again… those instrumentals literally make me ascend…
Tune in next time for more fun stuff in April’s Monthly Roundup!
