Discord Rich Presence on Custom Builds

For some reason, my custom build of the game doesn't make the connection to Discord. It has the compile flag for Discord RPC, but only the build I downloaded shows anything on Discord. Does anybody know how to solve this?

Edit: Sorry if the fix is incredibly simple, but I'm trying to test how I can access Rich Presence in a mod, and it'd be kind of unnerving for me to move the mod outside of my project folder and into a temporary downloaded build that will likely get deleted. Also, my main build for actually playing is my custom one, so simply switching isn't an option for that.
