Everytime I get a miss in the game the mod just crashes is there a way to fix this?

I just got this version today but Im having a tiny problem I don't like playing the game with ghost notes, so I turn it off problem is that if you get a miss the game crashes so is there any way to fix this? If anyone could let me know that would be great.
