MyQ - Local Garage Door Control

Unfortunately, when we built our new house, the options for garage door opener were: MyQ, MyQ and MyQ (aka there were no options). MyQ is made by Chamberlain (who also makes LiftMaster products), which basically is the garage door opener market. There are a few other brands out there, but mostly all I see these days is Chamberlain. Why don’t I like MyQ? Well, putting aside that it’s a cloud-dependent garage door opener, I’m not a fan of Chamberlain’s business practices.

You should consider a simpler solution like using a SwitchBot to press the button.
Here is even a black version of the switchbot that matches your setup.

I updated the post to reflect I've actually switched to a ratgdo. A switchbot would certainly work. I've just never been a huge fan because 1) for a long time they were cloud dependent (and still are to some degree though I know there's bluetooth options) and also seems like it'd be prone to not always working (doesn't push hard enough, falls off, etc).
