Problems with wavshare 4.2" Version 2.2

Hi, I think the program is great and I'm running it on an "old" Waveshare 4.2-inch TV. Now I wanted to run another one, but it's a Waveshare 4.2-inch version 2.2. Unfortunately, I can't get any display to work. The test programs do show something on the display, though. Can anyone help me get it working?

The problem is Waveshare changed all their driver chips and therefore all new displays no-longer function with the GxEPD2 library, but slowly the new displays are being added to the library. You can use the revised Waveshare drivers but the available functions are limited for drawing. There is no immediate solution.
