Fast Disk for Builds

I'm sure this is probably known by many. I inquired with NCCS about how to do the Tier-2 builds more efficiently (assuming that perhaps we are having poor filesystem performance). They instructed us to use $TSE_TMPDIR for build space and then copy to the final location. TSE is solid state so builds will be much faster to execute. The Tier-2 workflow(s) would need to be modified to query $TSE_TMPDIR and set build directories accordingly. Not sure what degree of difficulty that entails.
