Create a Firebase account and add a new project.
-
Add a new web app to the project.

Install firebase CLI:
curl -sL https://firebase.tools | bash -
Install flutterfire CLI:

Disable github tracking of config files:
git update-index --assume-unchanged android/app/google-services.json
git update-index --assume-unchanged ios/firebase_app_id_file.json
git update-index --assume-unchanged macos/firebase_app_id_file.json
git update-index --assume-unchanged lib/firebase_options.dart- Firebase is the default analytics provider and is always registered by the app.
- Analytics collection can be disabled globally using runtime flags (applies to all providers):
--dart-define=ANALYTICS_DISABLED=true
--dart-define=CI=trueSee /docs/ANALYTICS.md for multi‑provider details, and /docs/MATOMO_SETUP.md for enabling Matomo alongside Firebase.
