Switch Pro Controller (3rd party) Joystick issues

Connecting controller all inputs work except for joystick inputs, left joystick can only go to left on x-axis otherwise useless (alupper pro controller)

Try switching to Xbox mode, many 3rd party ones support this. Pressing direction right while start to switch.
