convenient functions to save the output

are there any convenient functions to save the output?

like,

save("fig.pdf") # for pdf
save("fig.png") # for png

also, I spend some time reading the docs and could find a place indicating what is the recommended way to save the outputs, would be nice to have a section for that.

Normally all figure producing modules should have a mention to this (the colorbar that I pointed before on Discourse has it) but it seems ternary misses it. The syntax is add this keyword to the list of options to the command. figname or savefig or name. i.e. figname="name.png". The extension here determines the format.

I will ask Claude to find me all occurrences of this missing feature. Thanks form bringing this up.
