Hello,

I noticed that the latest release only provides a 64-bit executable. Will there be a 32-bit version available in the future?

Alternatively, could you provide instructions on how to compile a 32-bit version from source?

I tried adjusting the .csproj and RuntimeIdentifier, but ran into issues with platform compatibility. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I have no plans to provide a 32 bit version at this time, no. This is documented in the 2.0.0 release notes. It's not so much that this is currently impossible, but 32 bit is dying. I can't test it properly and it's only a matter of time until the libraries will have dropped support too. I would urge you to consider why you still need a 32 bit version.

I can look into what needs to be done to compile a 32 bit version for yourself when I have time. I can't provide much support beyond that.

We still have many devices that run only 32-bit systems, and upgrading them to 64-bit is not possible in the near future. To avoid losing synchronization on these machines, we’re looking for a temporary way to keep SyncTrayzor working on 32-bit.

If you could share minimal steps or hints on how to build an x86 version ourselves, that would help us a lot.

Just to confirm, these devices are running Windows 10 (or equivalent Server) or higher? SyncTrayzor v2 does not support older OSes, because it's technically completely infeasible.

In order to build 32-bit you indeed need to touch the csproj in a few places:

• Remove the RuntimeIdentifier hack (it's only needed to increase build system compatibility, shouldn't matter to you)
• Remove RuntimeIdentifiers entirely for the same reason
• Set RuntimeIdentifier to win-x86
• Ensure that ProcessRunner is also build as win-x86 by adding --runtime win-x86 to the PublishProcessRunner target exec command
• Ensure that you're also building SyncTrayzor with x86 as the processor target (e.g. in my IDE this is a setting, on the command line this likely boils down to a similar --runtime flag)
• After compiling, SyncTrayzor may complain that it can't find syncthing.exe. Simply download any suitable (32 bit) syncthing release from https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing/releases and place it into the directory named in the error message.
