Is it possible to reprogram wifi in an M1

I would like to change the wifi link to a different router. Are there sling commands I can send to the slingbox?

Are both routers visible at the same time? Or are you moving it to a different location? You might be able to change it with SlingPlayer Desktop.
Do you know if the box is setup for DHCP or a static IP?
If it's DHCP you might be able to just connect up the wired Ethernet port.

Gerry, The M1 is wireless, and I cannot change the ssid/password to link it to another router. Desktop might work, but I deleted all my sling software. The box is setup for DHCP, but that doesn't help. Do you have desktop archived somewhere? PS: I use slinger daily and it has been wonderful : )

If it was me i'd buy as Wireless to Ethernet adapter or something like wifi 2 lan adapter or a wifi range extender/repeater. Should work out of the box.
I'll have a look for the slingbox software but there's no guarantees.

I guess I could connect the ethernet port on the slingbox to an old router in bridge mode.
