Describe the bug
When adding a new reaction in a chat, a push notification appears even if the chat is already opened, which is unexpected behavior.

SDK version

• 6.32.0

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. User A opens an existing chat with user B
2. User A adds a reaction to a message in that chat with user B
3. User B observes that a push notification is triggered, even though the chat is currently open.

Expected behavior
No push notification should appear if the chat (I'm using MessagesScreen component) is already open and the user can see the reaction in real-time.

Hi @geolyth,

At the moment this is not reproducible for me. Can you please check 2 things while testing this:

1. Your NotificationConfig: Do you by any chance set custom values for val ignorePushMessagesWhenUserOnline: Boolean or val ignorePushMessageWhenUserOnline: (type: String) -> Boolean? If you are using the simple Boolean flag, it should be set to true, to ignore any incoming messages while the WS is online. If you are using the lambda, you need to make sure to return true for the TYPE_REACTION_NEW:

val ignorePushMessageWhenUserOnline: (type: String) -> Boolean = { type ->
        when (type) {
            ChatNotification.TYPE_REACTION_NEW -> true
            // other types
        }
    }

Note that the default value of the flag is true, so this should work without any customisations.

2. Can you check if the WebSocket is connected at the time of receiving the notification? The SDK checks if the Websocket is connected, and if yes, it will ignore the PN. But if it is not connected, even if you are in the chat screen, the PN will still be shown.
