• Remembering what titles I am downloading "feels" clunky. Having some way to manage a "library" might be good.

• It would be super handy to define all the comics you want to watch and download by specifying a list in a config file (i.e. yaml). Then, there is no need to remember all the items you are downloading. You could then pass in the config with the daemon option to auto-download.

Could be for a cli invocation as well. For example, I move my stuff to a reader, so I have no need for the binary to be constantly running. Just when I plan to update what’s available. Cheers, — Dustin

The solution I came up with was building a custom shell script that loops through a .txt file containing the URLs I want to watch. This setup could theoretically be automated with cron or something similar.

Using something like YAML or TOML would work.

Then, if you run the tool with the config in an expected location (ie ~/.config/comics-dowloader/watchlist.yaml), or if added as a flag (ie comics-downloader -watch-list watchlist.yaml) it will just run through the list and perform the actions.

The only mandatory fields would be name and url. Otherwise, it just uses the defaults of the tool.

The idea with the global section is that you can override tool defaults to personal defaults, which can then be overridden on individual titles.

Global should support all that can be set on the individual titles. However, it could also help other CLI parameters (beyond what is set on the per-comic level, e.g., daemon control, etc.), making flags unnecessary.

It depends on how extensive you want to go with global.

I got some work done for the config file support. I'm going to make a second alpha release soon (maybe today). If you would be so kind as to test it out and provide feedback, I would appreciate it a lot.
