Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a welcoming and inspiring community for all. We pledge that everyone participating in the SandboxEnvironment project and its community will be treated with respect and dignity.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

  • Being respectful: Listen to diverse viewpoints and experiences
  • Being inclusive: Welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities
  • Being collaborative: Work together toward common goals
  • Being constructive: Provide helpful feedback and support
  • Being professional: Use inclusive language; avoid dismissive language

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination based on protected characteristics
  • Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, nationality, age, or other protected status
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Threats of violence or violent language
  • Deliberate intimidation or bullying
  • Sustained disruption of discussions or community spaces
  • Publishing private information without consent
  • Any other conduct that violates the rights of others

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • All spaces managed by the SandboxEnvironment project (GitHub, discussions, issues, pull requests, etc.)
  • Official project events
  • Public spaces where individuals are representing the project

Enforcement

Reporting Issues

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior:

  1. Do not engage with the person if you feel unsafe
  2. Document the incident (screenshots, links, context)
  3. Report privately to the project maintainers
  4. Contact GitHub Support if necessary for platform violations

Enforcement Guidelines

Community leaders will follow these Community Impact Guidelines in determining consequences:

1. Correction

Impact: Use of inappropriate language or behavior deemed unprofessional

Consequence: A private, written warning with clarity on the violation and explanation of why the behavior was inappropriate.

2. Warning

Impact: A violation through a single incident or series of actions

Consequence: A warning with consequences for continued behavior. No interaction with involved parties, including unsolicited interaction, for a specified period.

3. Temporary Ban

Impact: A serious violation of community standards

Consequence: A temporary ban from any sort of interaction or public communication within the community for a specified period.

4. Permanent Ban

Impact: Demonstrating a pattern of violation of community standards

Consequence: A permanent ban from any sort of public interaction within the community.

Appeals

If you believe a decision was made in error, you may appeal by contacting the maintainers with your appeal and reasoning.
