Third-Party Components

Marz utilizes the following open-source libraries and components. Their respective licenses apply:

Analytics and Usage Tracking

Marz uses PostHog for error tracking and analytics to help improve the application. All collected data is stored on EU-based servers in compliance with GDPR.

What is Collected

  • Error reports to identify and fix bugs
  • Anonymous usage data such as popular servers and regional coverage gaps on the map
  • Device details such as manufacturer and Android/iOS version, used for debugging compatibility issues
  • General location (country-level), used to understand regional app usage
  • App lifecycle events such as installs, updates, and when the app is opened or backgrounded

What is NOT Collected

  • No personal identification information
  • No VPN traffic content
  • No IP addresses or network identifiers
  • No subscription URLs or config details

Privacy Controls

Users can opt-out of analytics and usage tracking at any time:

  • During initial onboarding from the first screen
  • Later via Settings > Disable Analytics

When analytics are disabled, no data is sent to PostHog servers.
