Why base64 encoded image is used in tempate?

Hi folks,
I have integrated grapesjs in a mail marketing project. I thought you guyz are building such great libraries, so you know what is the best.
but just, i sent a mail that was built this library. guess what the image is not displaying on gmail mail but working on mailtrap while tested.

It was a great waste of time.
