Hi there!
Quick question regarding Positive TF Regulators. You state that "ArchR correlates chromVAR deviation z-scores of TF motifs with gene activity scores of TF genes", thereby identifying TFs that are both highly expressed in a given dataset and whose respective motifs are highly enriched. Given their name, are you suggesting that these TFs positively regulate other genes (i.e. they only serve as activators of target gene expression) or that they are active/activated TFs (i.e. they are acting as either activators or repressors [depending on their nature] of target genes)? If the former is correct, how do you infer that just from deviation z-scores and expression of individual TFs?
Apologies for the confusion, just want to make sure I'm interpreting it correctly!
Best,
Susana
