Change the Arrow Path File

Working on a collaborative project. A colleague shared with me the Project RDS files and the Arrow files. I tried running downstream commands such as https://www.archrproject.com/bookdown/gene-scores-and-marker-genes-with-archr.html

However, the arrow files path are directed towards the original path of my colleague's and unable to find a way to redirect arrow files and other metadata files of the object to where I am storing the files. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Couldn't find it in the options.

Please provide more details. Projects to be shared need to be saved using saveArchRProject() and loaded using loadArchRProject(). File paths (except for one known bug) are made to relative paths when saving and then resolved when loading.

Here is a replica of what's going on:

1. I received a directory (test) with directories as shown below below
   

2. I run project <- loadArchRProjection("/path/to/test")

3. Results:
   Error in loadArchRProject("/path/to/test") :
   ArrowFiles do not exist in saved ArchRProject!

One way around this is if I recreate the same path that the owner of the files had shared with me (but that will require that I open a directory under "/Users/ etc) then rads the Save-ArchR-Project.rds as "readRDS" object, then that works but occasionally cause breaks in some steps, as expected so not ideal. Also, I don't think its a good idea to create a directory under main /Users as that could affect the flow when logging in.

Appreciate the thoughts on a way to get to share projects.

This should work as advertised. Perhaps there is a problem with how the project was saved?

It would be helpful if you had your collaborator follow the Tutorial through Chapter 3.5 and save the ArchRProject as detailed there. Then send you the directory "Save-ProjHeme1" and have you load it using loadArchRProject(). This should work. Let me know.

thanks for your response. Weirdly, adding the "/" at end of path may have disrupted things? Anyway, I removed it and that made it work for now. Thanks
