Admin Panel Set up issues

Not sure what they are stuck on here, or if this is covered in the documentation for the admin. Was posted in Admin_panel channel on Aug 25th.

I make a post req to http://localhost:3000/auth/login and obviously get an error because I don't have anything running on localhost:3000
what did I missed when I read the docs ?

Possibly Related issue:
While getting set up, I'm having an issue with logging into the development environment. It's just sitting there loading after I enter credentials. I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious!
