Changing integrations has created problems #32

@escapethewormhole 1. Did you change something in the setup that caused this? Has the ECU been moved? There are now over 90 active installs of this integration, the majority are not experiencing any issues so it must be something locally. What happens if you roll back to the old version? Did you restart HA? 2. As described in the caution section of the readme: ECU entities are not migrated from the predecessor of this integration (https://github.com/ksheumaker) because the ECU-ID is now part of the ECU specific entities to enable the use of multiple ECU's. Inverter entities remain the same. If you experiencing loss of all entities, descibe how you did the change? |

It didn’t during the upgrade. It was the day after ir prompted me because the units changed.
Obviously I did something wrong. I am unclear what but I just followed the directions.

When upgrading to the new version there is no option to "not delete" or "keep old data". The readme clearly states that the ECU entities are renamed and therefor not being migrated. The Energy dashboard should not clear the data when simply replacing the old entity name for the new one.
I reconstructed things migrating from the old integration to the new one and adapted the readme. Following that I hope all should be more clear now.

Glad it worked out well after all. I'll close the discussion, if for any reason you would like me to reopen it - let me know. 🧹 |

Before I never had an issue worked as intended, now I have it where the ECU freezes up and I lose reporting in both my EMA app, and HA until I power cycle it.
