ECU-R-2160 won't connect with the intergration

Even though I made sure in the EMA Manager app that the IP is fixed to the IP in the screenshot, I get this error message when trying to connect my ECU to the Home Assistant via the older, no longer supported, integration and this intergration. I have tripple checked if the ECU is on the same network as my Raspberry Pi. Can someone help me out with this one, because I am running out of ideas.

So if you ping the ECU on 192.168.131.228 you get a response? What type of ECU do you have and is it connected the correct way as explained in the readme? Also try to restart the ECU then wait for 10 minutes and try again.

I don't get a response, but earlier I read somewhere that with cmd for example you won't be able to ping it. I already tried to restart it and wait the 10 minutes, and as for the type, it's an ECU-R-2160. As far as I can tell it's connected just as described in the readme.

OK, you should really get a response on ping. The ECU should also be connected to your network by WiFi.
Are you able to retrieve the MAC address from the ECU and bind the IP Address in the router?

I do have the MAC adress from the ECU, but i gotta figure out real quick how to bind the IP Adress in the router.

As I tried to bind the IP, I recognized ESP, put that IP-adress in the HA, it worked, so the IP binder in the EMA Manager app is completely worthless, it still assigned it's own IP, I'm connected now tho, thanks for the help!

Just to confirm - Ethernet connection will not work, it must be Wi-Fi correct?
