I do not know and do not have a firmware version. I asked APSystems support but it seems they are ignoring my request

I asked them several weeks ago and they told me, they do not distribute anymore the software package.
The ECU-C is upgrading itself when it is connected to the WEB.
I requested them how long time it takes and they told me, it should take between 1 to 2 hours to the ECU-C to download the FW and upgrade itself.
On your side, if you just want to upgrade your ECU-C, you just have to connect it during a period of time.
If you want to get the FW package, you can connect your ECU-C and sniff all the packet between the WEB and the IP Address of your ECU-C with Wireshark(with the right parameters) then reconstruct the FW file.

I would love to dump the firmware from my ECU-C, but the PCB is quite complicated with many unpopulated so I'm not yet sure if I can extract it over UART, SPI, or USB-DFU. It would be nice to jailbreak this expensive turd.

The board has TI Sitara AM3352 with a Micron NAND. There's an internal mini USB and jumper connector but Windows doesn't detect anything connected. In theory, we could force it to boot from USB with a nand short - but that's probably not necessary if someone smarter than me has any suggestions.

Ideally, I'd like to get a look at the rom so we can force them to release the open source components under copyright law, but maybe that's a pipedream.

If anyone wants to work on this together, I'm happy to be a guinea pig.

Also, if you have an old firmware version -- post it. I can poke around the filesystem for holes, or create & upload some new ones.
