Nginx Ingress retirement announcement

have you seen the announcement about the retirement of Nginx Ingress?

To prioritize the safety and security of the ecosystem, Kubernetes SIG Network and the Security Response Committee are announcing the upcoming retirement of Ingress NGINX.

Best-effort maintenance will continue until March 2026. Afterward, there will be no further releases, no bugfixes, and no updates to resolve any security vulnerabilities that may be discovered. Existing deployments of Ingress NGINX will continue to function and installation artifacts will remain available.

As the new APISIX deployment also uses Nginx Ingress, any plans to replace it with CR13 or latest CR14?

Hi @stoeps13, yes we're aware of the announcement and working on a plan to replace it. Thanks for bringing this up to our attention.

I just took a look into CR13 updates and see that apisix is using Gateway API now, but the other components still use nginx-ingress. Will there be a documentation or update available until end of March which will help to move away from nginx-ingress?
