Scope features for a v1.0 release

• As a CIC community member, I want to receive a customized welcome message the first time I join the Slack channel so that I can understand what can be done from within Slack
• As a CIC community member, I want to see a feed of upcoming events scheduled using Google Calendar so I can stay up to date on community activities
• As a CIC community manager, I want to see a notification appear on a specific channel every time I add a new event on Google Calendar

Slack bot notes/requirements for launch
- facilitating mentorship through channels
- reengagement notifications to mentors
- event notifications linked to Google calendar managed by the community manager
- workshop leaders can upload content
- equipment inventory management
- onboarding system to slack channel with student verification
- secure check in to facility with considerations for safeguarding minors 

Post-launch/not urgent
- adults pay monthly subscription for access
