Suggestion: Possibility of using external program

Is there a possibility to make use of an external program as the image generator?
I'm referring to stable-diffusion.cpp
It has Windows versions for all backends, and also ROCm.
I'm saying this because I'm on Windows 11 with a 7900XTX, and I could utilize this to generate images.
And the horde-worker would be essentially act only as a proxy.

Most of the functionality of reGen has to do with orchestrating the actual execution of jobs with the backend and is currently very tightly dependent on the specific backend (hordelib).

It is on the road map for reGen to support additional backends.

However, if you are looking for just a proxy, there is a much simpler (though much older) implementation of a horde worker, https://github.com/Haidra-Org/AI-Horde-worker. It supports a proxy-only mode like you are describing, but that currently is designed to only work for text generation. However, it could be adapted to work for image with a bit of leg work.

I can't give you a timeframe on when reGen might support this but if you are technically inclined and willing, you could investigate the AI-Horde-Worker route.
