Hello,
I’m currently working on an Android Expo module that integrates the Meta Wearables SDK (Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses) and uses HaishinKit to stream the glasses video feed via RTMP.
I’m reaching out because I’m facing a severe and blocking performance issue, and I’d really appreciate your expertise to help determine whether this comes from my integration or from a limitation in the Meta SDK itself.
Summary of the issue
From all tests so far, it looks like the Meta SDK might be internally throttling its video stream when encoder activity is detected, but I’d really like a second opinion from someone who deeply understands Android media pipelines and HaishinKit internals.
What I’m asking
I already prepared a minimal reproduction and a detailed technical report that I sent to Meta, which I can share along with:
Compensation
I’m of course happy to pay for your time and expertise (hourly or fixed — whatever you prefer).
If this sounds interesting to you, please let me know:
Thanks a lot for your work on HaishinKit — it’s been extremely valuable for Android and iOS streaming projects.
