Unable to get this working, not confident to do manual updates

Hi all.

I see from reading the threads that this project now requires several manual edits to be made to files to get this working properly.

Is there any way to resurrect this project and have updates committed into the main project again?

I'm not sure this is the "right" way. But I went to HACS, click the three dot menu (top right) and click "Custom Repositories". Paste in the URL for the fork (as you copied above) and under type choose "integration" then click add.

This added it as a repo in HACS. If you have the original HandyHat on still added you'll have two with identical names, but the last update will be more recent on the /root0x one.

I have been tweaking my own (local) fork of HandyHats original for nearly two years now, but I thought Id use your fork, as Im consistently getting incorrect and useless data, due to the HB sensor not resetting to zero (often only at 8am it shows a new accumulation from the night before) - but Im struggling with basic info - Ive installed your code, but the log is complaining about not using 'Historical_sensor'. Ive read the HA_HS Github, but thats for developers, what do I need to install/configure for your fork to work ?

I note your fork has no information on what actually needs to be setup or how ... can you elaborate please ?
Also, on your github fork, the buttons that install (via the My HA) go to the original HandyHat ...
