Extreme latency/delay on Gradio shareable links (--share) for image display and UI actions

When using the --share argument to generate a public Gradio link in A1111 WebUI Forge, there is an extremely long delay for generated images to appear and for action buttons (Interrupt, Skip, etc.) to respond. This latency makes remote usage nearly unusable compared to local access. any idea how do i fix this? thank you

Gradio shares are shared through Gradio's own servers https://www.gradio.app/guides/sharing-your-app

A share link usually looks something like this: https://07ff8706ab.gradio.live/. Although the link is served through the Gradio Share Servers, these servers are only a proxy for your local server, and do not store any data sent through your app.

So if their servers are slow (who knows) or your internet connection between [your host computer] >> [their servers] >> [The client machine you are using it on], is slow, then you will experience slowdown.

Obviously if you are generating higher resolution images, that will also require more data be transferred per image, potentially causing further slowdown.

Who knows how fast gradio's servers are or the stability of any internet links in between. Id suggest checking your host machines outbound internet speed with a speedtest. Check your client machines internet speed with a speedtest and if those speeds show as good, try it again and if its slow, its probably a limitation of the Gradio servers (probably).

In short though, the internet is inherently unstable and slow at times and Gradio may restrict the speed at which data can be sent through their share servers, but you would have to ask Gradio the question to get an answer on that.

If you are technically minded you could use Cloudflare Quick tunnels (which is free) https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-one/networks/connectors/cloudflare-tunnel/do-more-with-tunnels/trycloudflare/

This would give you access through a password based web page, relayed through cloudflares infrastructure and may be faster. Though there is quite a bit of setup to make these work.
