Consistent crash after finishing cool cool mountain slide

Description of the crash:
Game consistently crashes when walking out of the house at the end of slide in cool cool mountain.

How to reproduce:
1.go into cool cool mountain, select any star (in this case, i only had the 1st available in the menu)
2.jump in chimney and finish the slide, and watch the star spawn animation.
3.walk out
4.game will crash

System Information:

• OS: Linux
• GFX Backend:OpenGL
• Rom Version:USA

are you on latest release? i could not reproduce the issue and im on linux with opengl and us rom.
