Phidget interface broken in Helios 1.6

I have a F-16 (physical) cockpit that come with an old PC and Windows 7. I upgraded to new PC with Windows 10 and good specifications and in the process changed the Helios 1.4 to Helios 1.6. The old PC and helios could "see" my Phidget interface board ,and I could control them in Helios 1.4.
Now in 1.6 the Phidget interface have disappeared. I have tried to downgrade the Helios to 1.4 and even the Phidget Library back to 2.1 (form 2.2) But no luck with connecting the Phidget interface to Helios on the new PC
I have 6 Phidget card onboard my cockpit and I really like to use them. Can ANYBODY help me with this problem ? Any help will be much appreciated

I suspect that after trying to open your profile that had the missing Interface you might have saved it which removed the interface from the profile. Do you have a backup of your profile that you can use with Helios 1.4 and see if it shows up again?

Can you upload the Profile Editor Problems log file for review please.

If I open an old profile that contains two of the Phidget board I can "see" the interface in the profile, but cannot communicate with the LED´s. nor add the other Phidget card to the profile or any place in Helios (it don't shows under add interface) I will see if I find a log file (now it's uninstalled)

Phidget support was abandoned in 1.6. The old 2.1-based interface stopped working and nobody was available to work on it.

You already did the best approach to fixing it, which is to reinstall the deprecated/unsupported 2.1 Phidget library and Helios 1.4. If you did that successfully, you should see the Phidget boards in "Add Interface," confirming it is working.

The next problem is likely as Todd1215 said, that it removed the interfaces from the Profile after you saved. You can't use your profile in 1.4 anyway after you ported it to 1.6, so yeah you need to revert to a 1.4 profile from before you tried this upgrade.

Sounds like you are on top of this.

USING WIKNDOWS 10: I have now deleted everything re-installed Helios 1.4 an library 2.1 ……… Im still not able to "see "my Phidget cards (see attachment) I have added interface with and without the Phidget control center started, No difference ,the Helios do not “see” the Phidget interface [removed emails --ammo]

You should first get your Phidgets to work with the Phidget Control Panel itself (assuming that's what it is called in 2.1 also.) Please note this software was discontinued in 2020, so who knows what Windows versions it actually works on. https://www.phidgets.com/docs21/OS_-_Windows#Software

For all we know so far, it just doesn't work on your platform. No sense talking about Helios stuff until we see it working with the native software.

I belive this can be my problem:. since I can see and communicate with the phidget card in Phidget Control Panel . However I do not have one of the known devices causing the problem.......I will try it out later to day:

Affected Operating Systems: Windows

Some drivers or software will sometimes mistakenly claim Phidget devices when waiting on some hardware to be connected. This is caused by the drivers taking every HID (human interface device) on the USB bus, effectively stealing them from the Phidgets drivers. When this happens, the device shows up in the Phidget Control Panel at start up but examples and programs are unable to make a connection to the Phidget. This is known to occur with Logitech QuickCam, Force Feedback Mouse, Nike, Velleman K8055, and some SteelSeries drivers.

Solution: If you suspect this is a problem then try putting your machine in safe mode. If this fixes the problem you can be sure that this is the problem. Try shutting/uninstalling the offending driver/software down or kill its process in the task manager when using Phidgets.

I am going to unsubscribe this issue at this point.

For 1.6, the resolution is "yes it is broken or non-existent but there is nobody working on Phidgets."
