Because of Heroic, we now all have a portable AppImage program which can utilize Proton-GE. I've played all my dozens upon dozens of Windows games, emulators, and programs from beginning to end with literally no problems. Dozens of games all work with minimal tweaking because the interface is intuitive, there are plenty of choices with DXVK, esync, fsync, and so much more, it's easy as pie to put launcher arguments in, and I can even run a game with an editor at the same time with minimal fuss.
