for food image/video analysis. This decision was made to optimize performance and user experience:

  with a single API, reducing complexity
- **Lower Latency**: 3-5 second response time vs 8-10 seconds with Azure
- **Better Integration**: Native Firebase Functions support
- **Cost Efficiency**: $0.00/1K tokens for flash tier during demonstration phase
- **Simplified Parsing**: Native JSON responses eliminate complex response parsing

All promised AI verification features were delivered using Gemini:
