Child care subsidy

Child Care Benefit stopped on 1 July 2018 and is now the Child Care Subsidy.

Main differences are that it now has more income bracket reductions, whereas before there was an income max cap. Also there is now an activity test, where the hours of subsidised child care is linked to the number of hours the parents work.

There's also the Additional Child Care Subsidy which applies to grandparents, students, and people in financial hardship.
