While working on updating tutorials in the ICESat-2 Cookbook, @SmithB found that to make the tutorial performant enough to run, he needed to focus on a single spot rather than an entire bounding box. He reached out to SlideRule developer @jpswinski to collaborate on a solution.

During an effort to transition icepyx to using earthaccess under the hood to query data, @JessicaS11 noted that earthaccess did not surface search parameters and results to the user, an important feature for reproducibility. This work is now underway in earthaccess.
