Does ACRE2 work on Mac, if not will it work in the future?

I wanted to install the ACRE2 plugin on Team Speak 3 on a mac, but I couldn't do it. TS3 didn't see the plugin. Is it possible to change the file format to something other than dll? If not, will there be another format specifically for the mac system in the future?

Mods with extensions have no way to work on mac, you will not be able to play with ACRE
