Minutes of the April 2nd, 2024 Meeting.

Present: Carl Wallace, John Gray, Felipe Ventura, Corey Bonnell, Tomofumi and Julian Prat

We discussed the past Hackathon at IETF briefly and did a round table on what we are currently working on:

• Carl, working on composite 13, and KEMRI gadget - source to Rust crypto project on your github. See https://github.com/carl-wallace/kemri_toy
• Corey's next step is to add a library extension to python cryptography library, support for transition mechanisms, composite draft v13. Working to make the code more generic so it is easier to use and not just a hackathon artifact interface.
• Tomofumi - For the discovery draft, there was a comment that we should shorten the names in the related certificate descriptor ASN.1. The draft needs an author update so it won't expire. See https://www.ietf.org/id/draft-lamps-okubo-certdiscovery-00.html
• John added composite signature v13 artifacts yesterday, and Julian already verified interoperability! Wow that was fast!
• John will also update the external keys draft so it doesn't expire - see https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ounsworth-lamps-pq-external-pubkeys/03/
• Julien is testing Composite signatures v13 - Will push the test vectors soon. Verified John's artifacts.
• Felipe added Composite Signature v13 into the OQS provider, and the OQS team has accepted the Merge. The next release of OQS will contain composite signatures!

Other Items

• Corey mentioned the Vancouver IETF will probably be very busy, and mentioned that even at the Australia hackathon a number of people stopped by the hackathon and had things that they would like to contribute.
• Someone wanted Bouncy Castle support for NTRU

Next meeting is Tuesday May 7th, 8am EST.
