How to use IHP Open PDK with QUCS-S?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to use the IHP Open PDK available at this repository: https://github.com/IHP-GmbH/IHP-Open-PDK with QUCS-S.

Could someone please guide me on the correct steps to integrate this PDK into the software? I've located the qucs folder within the PDK, but I'm not sure what the next steps are.

Hi @FahmiMhdd, did you run install.py script from libs.tech/qucs folder? It will compile the models needed for simulation and create links to the PDK device symbols / definitions. Then you just need to run qucs-s and IHP-specific devices will be at the bottom of Libraries menu.

I haven’t run the install.py script in the libs.tech/qucs folder yet. Could you please help me with a clear step-by-step guide on how to properly set up and use PDK130?

there are basically two important steps to set-up the PDK:

• https://ihp-open-pdk-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/install/installation.html#general-configuration
• tool specific instructions (where available) as README files inside the libs.tech/<tool> folders

After I successfully ran install.py, why isn't the library appearing yet, and why are the components in the example schematics still appearing as just boxes?? @sergeiandreyev

could you please remove your Qucs worskpace dirs (.qucs/QucsWorkspace) and rerun the install.py script with this commit:
