INSPIRE Registry will be discontinued after 1 July 2026

Dear community of the INSPIRE Registry,

with this message, and as already communicated to the INSPIRE MIG-T during the 84th meeting (see the relevant slides), we would like to inform that the INSPIRE Registry will be discontinued after 1 July 2026.

By this date, the content of the registries will be migrated to EU Vocabularies, operated by the Publications Office of the European Union, preserving the URIs in order not to break existing implementations. One last release of INSPIRE Registry is expected before 1 July 2026.

The future governance of the Registry content will be rediscussed in the next INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Work Programme.

Release v2.6.3 of the Re3gistry software is still planned on 15 June 2026. After 1 July 2026, the Re3gistry will remain available as open source. The JRC will no longer contribute to its maintenance.

Please make sure this message is properly distributed to the relevant organisations/implementers that might be affected.
