Missing OGC API Features test in ghcr.io/inspire-mif/helpdesk-validator/inspire-validator:2024.3

The hosted validator (https://inspire.ec.europa.eu/validator/test-selection/index.html) has the ability to validate OGC API Features download services. But the self-hosted Docker image (ghcr.io/inspire-mif/helpdesk-validator/inspire-validator:2024.3) does not seem to offer the ability to validate OGC API Features.

Is this on purpose? Will a future release include this ability?

Any news on this? I noticed that while the UI on container port 8090 lists the test, running the test fails with the error of apparently the test missing:

thank you for your feedback.

We confirm that the ETS for OGC API Features is included in the release tag you are using.

Please note that the ETS are not embedded inside the Validator Docker image itself. Instead, they are downloaded dynamically during the deployment process and, from there, registered as available ETS inside the Validator.

Please also note that the OGC API Features ETS validates the service using the OGC Team Engine. One possible explanation for the issue you report is that, if at the moment your instance was first deployed the external OGC API Features service used by the Validator to retrieve the OGC API Features tests was not available, this ETS was not loaded and therefore does not appear in your local instance, even though you are using the correct image tag.

For this reason, our recommendation is to rebuild the Validator instance from scratch (i.e. perform a clean deployment, not just a simple restart of the existing container), so that the ETS are downloaded again during the initial startup. After a clean rebuild, the OGC API Features ETS should be available in your self-hosted instance.
