Migrate leftover hardcoded JVM options to be MPCONFIG enabled (milestone G)

Overview of the Feature Request
There are quite a bunch of JVM options that do not fall into some category/theme, so this issue tries to collect these and create an overview of "what's left".

What inspired the request?
We are nearly done with the migration!

What existing behavior do you want changed?
Do not only accept system options, but enable using all config sources MPCONFIG provides.

FWIW: I'm consolidating all of the calls for driver settings into a couple of parameterized calls - should make it easier to change them to mpconfig after that.

I'm not sure what that means... Also, there is #9998 for the storage options.
