🐞 Cannot reinstall Immich on CasaOS after uninstall

Describe the bug
I had an issue while updating Immich on CasaOS. During the update process, something went wrong, so I uninstalled Immich completely. After that, I am no longer able to install Immich again on CasaOS.

The installation fails every time, even though Immich was previously working on the same system.

To Reproduce

Install Immich on CasaOS (worked previously)

Attempt to update Immich

Update fails

Uninstall Immich from CasaOS

Try to install Immich again

Installation fails

i was using altran1502 docker and if change it to BigBear i will lost all my profile and sorting which i really dont want

Same issue here. I need to update to 2.4.0 so I can sync with my phone again, but after trying (and failing) and reverting back to 1.132.3 its constantly starting and stopping. But the iPhone app can no longer backup to that version so its kind of useless for me anyway. I was going to try building it using portainer with stacks. Ended up having to upgrade docker and all hell broke loose. Upgrading docker broke casaos. Spent a lot of time fixing that. I'm back up but still in the same place, no way to get to immich 2.4.0.

Agreed. I ended up using portainer using the instructions here: https://docs.immich.app/install/portainer/

Then on the casaos home screen I just added a shortcut to the casaos server to port 2283 and the icon from the path to the immich logo on the immich container. It also shows it at the bottom "to be rebuilt" along with immich_postgres, immich_redis, immich_machine_learning. I'm not doing anything with those at the bottom of casaos dashboard for fear of messing it up.

Another option is to use the version provided by the Big Bear Community. However using the same database isn’t straightforward.

To get immich to run you need to enable an additional module in the postgresDB:

The field with shared_preload_libraries=vectors.so needs to be updated to shared_preload_libraries=vectors.so,vchord.so to enable the vchord module.

After doing so you need to have a lot of patience because the first startup of the database does some housekeeping to update the existing data. This takes a while and should not be interrupted. For me, after around 15 minutes, immich was running fine again.
