Compatibility with TYPO3 v11 and/or v12

Hi @IchHabRecht ,

the last commit in this project is almost three years old. I wonder if you are still interested in continue developing it, or if you have plans to make it compatible with at least TYPO3 v11 (and later v12)? Our last reported issues are also still open, so I suspect you are no longer maintaining it.

Let us know if we could help somehow (money, patches, ideas etc).

We love the extension and its possibilities, so it would be a shame if it would come to a stall.

@IchHabRecht it seems that we (cron IT) are the only ones still using this!? Open issues are just our staff (Kitze, Denis Lorch and myself). @xperseguers seems to have made a v11 compatible version (see https://github.com/xperseguers/begroups_roles), but I got in touch with him in Slack and he is no longer using this in production.

Despite lack of interest, we are still interested to continue making sure that this great feature works also for newer TYPO3 versions. If you are not interested in maintaining this anymore, we could offer to take over and get it to work with TYPO3 v11 / v12 and maybe fix some or the other bug or improvement.

@IchHabRecht I guess there is no further interest in developing this "gem". Thanks for the effort on it so far!

Since we use it in some projects, we forked it (https://github.com/cron-eu/t3x-begroups_roles/), applied our enhancements / fixes (@kitzberger) and @xperseguers v11 compatibility changes, and will be releasing it to packagist, so that we can easily use in our setups - and also make it available for potential other interested. To so that, we will have to use a different vendor-name (cron-eu).

Just FYI, and as an explanation that this is not meant as a harmful takeover.
