UI inconstistancy in creating services

Looking at this blockpost I realised something strange, that I haven't seen before because I usually never add services this way:

If you add a service using the Service tab where you can choose a hostname in the form you can override the checkcommand on creation:

Which is gone after pressing the save button:

Of course present in the preview:

And NOT present when creating a service using host->add Service:

If this a bug or a feature?

I can think of a way this is helpful for not creating a unique servicetemplate for a service that is only used once but since it can't be changed afterwards also a little bit off.
