Hyphen (-) ligature stops joining after 31st hyphen

the ligature displays as

Yea, that is a problem in a whole bunch of editors.

It's because continuous ligatures are a bit of a hack rn. The font has dedicated ligatures for n amount of symbols, with the maximum being around 30. And so after 31 symbols they stop connecting

I believe it could be fixed using more advanced ligatures, but I am not sure
