Welcome to project gallery doc! 👋🏽

Are you a Google Africa Developer Scholarship learner or mentor looking to contribute to a real world project? Let's work on this cool one together! We will be building the GADS project gallery (doc) together.

Please note: This is NOT a project given by the GADS team. It's a project given by @Ifycode to interested members of her GADS peer learning group. But GADS mentors from other PLG groups and tracks are welcome to contribute. You will be added as one of the contributors to the project once you have made a contribution.

The project

We are filling this documentation up. It should help master Github, and contributing to a project that is not your own. This is the github repo for the project.

Pick a task

To work on a task, go to Issues click on any of the tasks there and comment on the task you'd like to work on so that I can assign you. I have made issues where you will write a text easier for you, all you need to do is copy and paste. There are non-text issues such as video tutorials and image design.

Instructions on how to edit the page:
You can locate the file you want to edit in the doc repo by manually searching for the file in the doc repo or via the edit on Github button on the Gitbook doc. Go to a particular page on the Gitbook doc, then click on the edit on Github button (or github icon in the case of smaller devices) to take you to the exact file to edit. Follow these steps to edit the file since you cannot directly make changes to the repo:

• Fork the the GADS project gallery doc repo (if you haven't)
• From your fork, create a new branch and give it your preferred name
• Edit the page in your fork. Make sure you are in the new branch you created when editing.
• Send a pull request.
