Telelatino: The update notifications should be clearer — instead of “may have been updated,” it should tell if the update was installed, failed, or needs manual action. |

Yes, you’re making perfect sense — the update notification should clearly say whether the update was installed, failed, or unavailable, instead of vaguely saying “may have been updated.” |

The "update" notification feels rather unhelpful to me, in terms of the information it communicates.
That is essentially the least information possible, as it only really tells me (or rather hints) that the app-repository has a latest release not matching my currently installed version.
It doesn't tell me if the version was installed, if the installation was attempted but failed or was not attempted. Yet all this is knowable by Obtainium, if I'm not mistaken.
It knows the currently installed version and can therefore tell if an update is necessary, it already does that. Here's what I think might be a reasonable set of notifications:
But I certainly don't need a notification every few hours that an app may have been updated and the only way of knowing if it was is memorising the current version.
If it succeeds, tell me. No "may have been updated." You know if it was, so tell me.
If it fails, again, tell me.
Am I making sense?
