Where to download Indy 10.5.8 or 10.5.9? #657

Indy did not have formal version releases until last year starting with 10.6.3.0. Usually Indy's version number was rolled when an updated version was needed to be bundled in a new RAD Studio release. The RAD Studio devs would simply grab the latest Indy repo snapshot at the time, so I would roll the version number for them. So, in this case, the initial 10.5.8 shipped with RAD Studio XE2, and the initial 10.5.9 shipped with RAD Studio XE3. But, there were always commits being made to Indy's repo between Delphi versions without rolling Indy's version number. So, 10.5.8 really encompassed the initial XE2 release plus subsequent commits leading up to XE3, and 10.5.9 encompassed the initial XE3 release plus subsequent commits leading up to XE4. Unfortunately, I didn't start tagging those releases until 10.6.2 in RAD Studio 10.4 Sydney. So, you can't really download specific Indy versions prior to 10.6.3/10.6.2, as they were just not isolated on their own. The best you can do is find the closest appropriate commits in Indy's repo and download those snapshots manually. Indy's version number was rolled to 10.5.8 in commit 99cc60 (Oct 1 2010), and rolled to 10.5.9 in commit 5a875f (Aug 8 2012). Good luck |
