App that triggers actions in companion apps

I've seen many suggestions for new apps that are too specific to be ever implemented in official InifiTime, so here's my suggestion how this could work: Add an app that has four buttons (similar to https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2261652/229353004-e3af3a85-c0b7-4af8-b4ae-eb64472ad652.png). The label of each button is configurable by a companion app and when pressing it, the companion app is notified about it. For example Gadgetbridge can then redirect this button press via Android Intents to a specific app which can then trigger some action, e.g. start a phone call, send a message or make some https call.

My usecase for this is smart home, but it can be used for anything.

Maybe the companion app can send the watch a list of buttons it wants when the app is opened, kinda like how the music app works.
